Excellence
We set high standards in teaching, learning and conduct.
About us
Nong Modikwa Primary School serves Grades R to 7 in Hwibi Village, Bakone Blakfontein Circuit, Limpopo. Our learners are taught to read widely, think critically, use technology responsibly and strive for excellence.
Nong Modikwa Primary School is a public primary school rooted in its village community. Every day begins with assembly, where learners are reminded of our motto, Strive for Excellence.
We are committed to effective teaching and learning, a curriculum-first approach, digital innovation, a strong reading culture, cultural heritage, discipline and community ownership. Our educators work closely with parents, the School Governing Body and partner universities to give rural learners the same opportunities as their urban peers.
Our library, computer laboratory and the Rural Digital Bridge programme are the engines of that promise — combining reading, research and practical digital skills from the Foundation Phase upwards.

To provide our learners with lifelong education and training skills that enable them to solve problems, communicate effectively with others and participate as responsible citizens in their communities.
We at Nong Modikwa aim to achieve this by:
Providing effective teaching and learning.
Placing the curriculum as our first priority.
Creating an environment that develops responsible and competent learners.
Developing dedicated management, governance and administration guided by government and school policies.
Involving the community and all stakeholders in school activities and ownership.
We set high standards in teaching, learning and conduct.
We act honestly and keep our promises to learners and parents.
Every learner belongs, is supported and is celebrated.
We embrace technology, coding and new ways of learning.
We treat one another with dignity, Ubuntu and care.
We take responsibility for our work and our results.
Well-kept gardens, bright classrooms and a dedicated library block.
Parents and community leaders who guide governance and support learners.
Partnerships with universities, the circuit and NGOs to grow opportunity.
